About

With a background in Interior Design and Fine Arts, Art has always been at the heart of everything Solomia is passionate about. This interest, altogether with a natural curiosity and problem-solving approach, naturally led her into a challenging and rewarding path of architecture and design.

Education & Awards

After graduating with 1st Class Honours in BA Interior Design, Solomia also studied MA Fine Arts, later pursuing Architectural Design MArch at B-Pro, The Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL, a programme exploring the frontiers of advanced architectural design, and their convergence with science and technology, with an emphasis on the latest technological advances, particularly computational design and robotical fabrication.

Amongst other awards, Solomia has been recognised by The Royal Commission with an Industrial Design Award, aimed to stimulate industrial design capability among the country’s most able graduates and advance study and research in science, engineering, the built environment, and design. Most recently, she is also a finalist of Britain’s Interior Designer of the Year by The Brit List Awards 2021.

Professional Experience

Throughout her career in the design industry, she has had the pleasure to work for practices including Aedas, Perkins&Will, and Gensler, as well as private clients, and deliver bespoke designs to the most demanding clientele and work across all project stages from pre-appointment, concept, schematic design to technical delivery, and installation on-site. Key projects include commercial, high-end residential, and hospitality projects including boutique and chain 4*, 5*, and 7* hotels.

Currently, lead interior designer responsible for a portfolio of commercial interior design schemes for a confidential global client and Regional Lead of Hospitality Practice Area at Gensler. Creative position with key responsibilities including client-facing role, leading project design of multiple projects simultaneously, managing project team, design research, and design competitions.
